Calendar feed

Calendar → Subscribe makes a private link that Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and Outlook subscribe to. It shows your confirmed bookings from 30 days back to a year ahead, for every offering or one, and asks calendar apps to check it every 30 minutes. Anyone who has the link can read your guests' names and phone numbers, so share it only with your crew.

Plain text

What it shows

  • Confirmed bookings that start from 30 days back to a year ahead. Holds and cancellations stay off, so a cancelled booking leaves the calendar at its next refresh.
  • Trip or class: one event per time with bookings, titled like Sunrise Kayak Tour · 6 of 10, and a line per booking: the guest's name, how many and their phone.
  • Private or rental: one event per booking, like Canoe · Jo × 2, over its whole time. Whole days show as all-day events.
  • Each event has its offering's location and a link to its roster in your dashboard.

The feed asks calendar apps to check it every 30 minutes. Each app keeps its own schedule: Google Calendar can take up to a day to show a change.

Subscribe

  1. In the dashboard, open Calendar and choose Subscribe.
  2. Name the link for who will have it, choose all offerings or one, then Create link.
  3. Choose Google Calendar or Apple / Outlook, or copy the link into any calendar app that subscribes to a URL. It's shown only this once.

Google Calendar adds a link on a computer, not in its phone app; it then shows on your phone too.

Keep it private

Anyone who has the link can read your guests' names and phone numbers, without signing in. Share it only with people who should see them, such as your guides.

  • Keep up to 20 links, one per person or device, so you can cut one off and keep the rest. Deleting a link stops it at once. Events a calendar app already copied can stay there until that calendar is removed in the app, so ask whoever had the link to remove it.
  • When you erase a guest, their name leaves the feed; a calendar app that copied it keeps it until it refreshes.
  • daybag keeps only a hash of each link, so a lost link can't be shown again: make a new one.
  • Calendar links are made and deleted in the dashboard only, never through the API or MCP.
